The Heart-to-Heart Flashing Lights project makes a great gift for Valentine’s Day, or any day, when you want to say, “I love you,” in a unique and colorful way. Each heart has four LEDs that alternately flash at a rate determined by the amount of light shining on a photoresistor. In the dark, there is a steady throb, the hearts alternating once every second or so. As the environment brightens up, the hearts “beat” faster. With direct room light, each heart pounds so rapidly, it’ll give your own heart palpitations. Definitely, a project to take to heart!
How to set it up!
Cut on the dotted lines(not the solids!).
Fold along the solid lines as pictured.
Glue the four small slips to make corners along the sides.
After creating the four corners, you should have a box shape as pictured.
Carefully place the board into the holder you've created, lining up the LEDs to the matching holes.
Glue the three holding slips onto the back of the board.
Set the board up, as pictured, using the battery snap.
Attach the battery, and you're done!
